Black cherry (Prunus serotina) is one of the most valuable timber species in the world. Mature trees can be worth thousands of dollars each. Pennsylvania is the largest producer of high quality black cherry timber in the world, and we have a seedling nursery dedicated to this valuable hardwood species. Our seedlings are selected from genetically superior black cherry parent trees located across the "heart of black cherry country" in north-central Pennsylvania.
